What should I expect during a session?
Your first session starts with a full conversation about your health, lifestyle and what's brought you to acupuncture, followed by a treatment tailored to what you need. Follow-up sessions are shorter and build on this.

Most people feel very little, if anything, when the needles are inserted. Some points can bring a brief sensation of dull pressure or warmth, which usually settles quickly and often feels quite relaxing. This is often referred to as "de qi," and is a sign that the needle has connected with the flow of Qi and Blood. Alongside this, many people notice a deep sense of calm, or a subtle shift in energy, settling in as treatment goes on.

This varies from person to person and depends on what we're working on. Some people notice a difference after one or two sessions, while ongoing or more complex issues, such as fertility support, often benefit from a longer course of treatment.

Home visits are available across London. Please provide your location when making an enquiry, and I will confirm availability for your area.

Loose, comfortable clothing is best, as I'll often need access to your arms and legs. There's nothing else you need to prepare, just come as you are.

Acupuncture is a safe treatment when carried out by a qualified practitioner. As a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I've completed the appropriate training in Chinese medicine, acupuncture techniques, safety and Western medical sciences.
