About your home visit appointment

Before your appointment

Once you've got in touch and shared your availability, we'll arrange a time that suits you. You don't need to prepare much. A quiet, warm room is ideal. Loose clothing that can be rolled up easily is helpful. It's best to have eaten something light beforehand rather than coming to treatment on an empty stomach.

When I arrive

I bring everything needed for your session, single-use sterile needles, hygiene supplies. There's nothing for you to buy or set up, and you can relax in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Your first session

The first appointment begins with an in-depth consultation. We'll talk about what has brought you to acupuncture, your medical history, and wider aspects of your health such as sleep, digestion, energy levels and emotional wellbeing. I may also look at your tongue and take your pulse, both traditional diagnostic tools in Chinese medicine. Together, these help me build a treatment plan tailored to you.

During treatment

You'll lie or sit comfortably while fine needles are placed at selected points. Most people feel very little on insertion, perhaps a brief tingle or dull ache. The needles usually stay in for around 20–30 minutes while you rest. Many people find this deeply calming, and some even drift off.

Afterwards

Because there's no travel home, you can simply stay put and let the benefits of the session settle in. We'll discuss how you responded and agree on next steps, including how often you might benefit from further sessions.

Home acupuncture in London can support general wellbeing as well as concerns people often bring around fertility, IVF and women's health. You’ll find more about my background on the About page, and answers to common questions in the FAQs.
